Our website uses a free online language translation service to automatically translate our content into a variety of community languages. Automatic translations are provided as a guide only. Automatic translations are quick and convenient, but may not be 100% accurate.

Who can make a report?

Anyone and everyone can report information to Crime Stoppers.

Do I speak with a member of the Police when I call 1800 333 000?

No, you speak with a Crime Stoppers representative. You can ask to be contacted by the Police if you choose.

What do we do with your information?

After you have given us your information, it is checked over by Crime Stoppers operators to make sure nothing can identify you. The information is then passed across to the relevant Police Unit to investigate. 

Can I receive assistance with making a report?

Our reporting service is available to everyone.  We will work with you to ensure you are supported to make your report.

Do I get a reward for my information?

Crime Stoppers offer rewards in return for crime information leading to an arrest. Applications for a reward are submitted to the Crime Stoppers Board of Directors (in the relevant state/territory) and paid at their discretion. Recipients of rewards can remain anonymous.

The reward money is raised through donations and sponsorships raised in each state and territory.

How do I protect my privacy?

Whilst every measure is taken to not record any personal information from information providers; and to protect them protecting your privacy we advise individuals to delete browser history and call history on all devices.
