BE SAFE - KEEP SAFE

NSW Maritime urges everyone in the boating community to help keep our waterways safe and to help in our efforts to reduce crime on and around the water. NSW Maritime is the state government authority responsible for maritime safety, regulating commercial and recreational boating and overseeing port operations.

You’re the Skipper – You’re Responsible is a safety awareness campaign aimed at the boating community. It is designed to encourage all recreational boat operators - the skippers - to take responsibility for the safety of their vessel and the people on board. NSW Maritime aims to help reduce boating incidents by helping skippers become aware of their responsibilities, maritime regulations and safety requirements.
